Happy Barfday and Ribs for Valentines Day... A True Story

Since my birthday falls on the day before Valentine's Day, Greg made the weekend extra special for me by taking me off to my FAVORITE place:
Pagosa Springs, CO. !!!
Unfortunately, "THE Weekend" didn't really turn out like we'd originally planned....

After a bittersweet morning with a friends funeral and my niece's birthday.... I started feeling sick to my stomach. ...We really should have just stayed home at that point, but we tried to make the most of it and headed out to Pagosa.

As soon as we got there, we went into the springs and relaxed until my stomach felt a bit better and I was finally hungry. We made a beeline to one of our favorite places: Bear Creek Grill and Saloon. (AMAZING Burgers... dunno why I felt the need for a burger after a sick stomach, but truly.... they are AMAZING Burgers).

After Dinner, we relaxed at the lodge for a bit, then it was straight back to the Springs for a quiet midnight soak... Little did we know, it wasn't going to be as "quiet" as we thought.

When we got to the gate, four drunk guys were climbing over the wall to get out.. (Obviously not supposed to be there).

The last guy was so wasted he was really struggling to get over the wall. We asked if he needed help and then Greg grabbed his shoe to give to him after it fell off....
The next few seconds were really a blur... not sure exactly what happened.... but the drunk kid grabbed Greg by the robe, punched him in the side and threw him against the metal gate!!!
After a bunch of curse words and a "What the hell is your problem?!" from me, Greg, and his friends, the guy stared at us blankly and said, "Dude, i'm sorry, i'm soooo drunk!"
What the???!!
After that, the guys took off, Greg regained the air that was so rudely knocked from his lungs, and we went into the Springs in a daze... Dunno if the guy thought Greg was stealing his shoe or what.... either way: MORON!

Sooooo LONG Story made SHORT (I'm really typing too much!):
  1. I woke up the next morning (Sunday, my birthday) woofing up ALL of my Cookies (or all of my Bear Creek Burger),
  2. Greg feels like he is dying but drives us home with me making him pull over for one more barf along the way,
  3. We get Greg x-rayed on Monday (Valentine's Day) and he has a fractured left posterior rib and a few more bruised ones.
  4. I spend Valentine's Day with a cancelled trip to Hawaii and poor little Lortab-filled hubby who only feels like eating soup! (Good thing I make a mean Green Chili Chicken!!) :)

Needless to say, I hope your Valentine's Weekend story was a better one!!! lol!

Feelin Crafty... Three in one Post!

1. I made these Valentine's Day heart-wreath frames this week! (And I think they turned out pretty cute!) For some of you that signed up on Facebook for a free craft from me in 2011, you might be getting this!

2. My friend Tania made this cross-stitch Sister frame for me!!! It's SO cute. Love Ya my "Sister from another Mister" LOL!

AND LAST, BUT NOT LEAST:
3. Greg and I went to the local Humane Society's Live Auction and Silent Bid this last weekend with our friends Mike and Tania. Not only did we raise up some money for puppies and kitties, but I ended up with some awesome stuff! One of my auction wins was this vintage cabinet... not really an antique and kinda cheaply made, but LOADS of potential! I'm so excited to starting 'fixin' it up! I'm thinking green...

Twilight Girlz

So I found this video and LAUGHED!
Watching the whole thing isn't really necessary to get the whole point of the music video... Twilight, what have you done to my wife?!" LOL.

I'm showing this to Greg as soon as he gets home. He will certainly be able to relate because, when I started the books we were on our honeymoon and I was through the second book by the time we got home!! :P Really!! I was searching all over for "New Moon" in the airport so I could read it on the flight back!

Greg really has been great about it though...

He's gone to all the movies with me :O .
He likes to tell people, well... show people, what the Twilight movies are "all about."
He says, "Here, I'll show you the entire Twilight movie in one move : and he starts to take his shirt off and shake out his hair. LOL!!!
Honey, even though I'm addicted to the Twilight series, I really do love you more...
How can I not? :)
